MICROWAVE AND OPTICAL COMMUNICATION LAB

About the Lab: MW&OC Lab is established in KORMCE with well equiped MW benches & Optical Equipments. This Lab is Utilized by ECE Students only.

Objective: To verify the charactcristies of various microwave componesnts using microwave test bench. Initiate an expose the newcomers to exciting area of optical communications.

Learning Outcome: Students acquire applications and testing of microwave components. Students acquire knowledge on the various applications of optical fiber communications.

Major Equipment Available: Microwave benches, Optical kits, Klystron power supplies, Gunn power supplies, Cro's.

MICRO PROCESSOR & MICRO CONTROLLERS LAB

About the Lab: Microprocessor & Microcontrollers Lab as specilalized laboratory provides various platforms to UG & PG Students. This Lab is utlized by the students of Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronics and Computer Science Engineering branches.

Objective: To become skilled in 8086 Assembly Language programming, To understand programmable peripheral devices and their Interfacing, To understand and learn 8051 microcontroller, To learn 8051 assembly Language programming.

Learning Outcome: Able to write 8086 Assembly Language programs, Able to understand programmable peripheral devices and their Interfacing, Able to write 8051 assembly Language programs.

Major Equipment Available: 8086 Micropracessor Kits, 8051 Microcontrollers Kits, 8086 Keyboards, 8051 Key boaders, CRO Interfaceing cards, Experimental Cards Etc.,

ANALOG DIGITAL CIRCUITS LAB

About the Lab: Communication place a vital role in day to day life, Analog & Digital Communication system is a core subject for under granduate students in Electronics & Communication Engineering. In this lab Significant effort has been made to find simple ways to develop practical aspects of ADC systems.

Objective: To provide a real time experience for different analog modulation systems and demodulation schemes, To provide exposure to the real time behavior of different elements available in analog communication system such as filters, amplifiers etc, To perform radio receiver measurements and antenna measurements, To provide a real time experience for different Digital modulation systems and demodulation schemes.

Learning Outcome: To experience real time behavior of different analog modulation schemes, Technically visualize spectra of different analog modulation schemes, nalyze practical behavior of different elements available in analog communication system such as filters, amplifiers etc, Measure characteristics of radio receiver and antenna measurements.

Major Equipment Available: Spectrum analyzer analog & Digital Kits Cros Function generators etc.,

ECAP & DSP LAB

About the Lab: ECAD & DSP Lab cater the needs of the students , This lab is useful for ECE Students only.

Objective: To Model, Simulate, Varify, Analyze & Synthusze with soft ware description languages.

Learning Outcome: Able to Model, Simulate, Varify, Analyze & Synthusze with soft ware description languages.

Major Equipment Available: Computers, DSP kits, FPGA Kits, CPLD Kits, Laboratory softewares( Multisim, MAT lab, Xilinx 10.1 version code composser studio, Mentor Graphic tools) UPS, AC's.

IC APPLICATIONS LAB

About the Lab: IC Applications Lab has well equipped with advanced IC's and other components to cater the needs of students.

Objective: To verify the applications of Op-amp, To verify applications IC555 and IC566, To use computer-aided design tools for development of complex digital logic circuits, To model, simulate, verify, analyze, and synthesize with hardware description languages, To design and prototype with standard cell technology and programmable logic, To design tests for digital logic circuits, and design for testability.

Learning Outcome: Able to verify applications of Op-amp, Able to verify applications of IC555 and IC566, Able to use computer-aided design tools for development of complex digital logic circuits, Able to model, simulate, verify, analyze, and synthesize with hardware description languages, Able to design and prototype with standard cell technology and programmable logic, Able to design tests for digital logic circuits, and design for testability.

ELECTRONIC DEVICES AND CIRCUITS LAB

About the Lab: This Lab Provides better understanding regarding the use of active devices in Electronic Circuits, This lab is useful to the students of ECE, EEE and CSE branches.

Objective: This Lab provides the students to get an electrical model for various semiconducter devices. Students can find and plot V_I characteristics of all semiconductor devices. Student learns the practical applications of the devices. They can learn and implement the concept of the feedback and frequency response of the small signal amplifier.

Learning Outcome: Students able to learn electrical model for various semiconductor devices and learns the practical applications of the semiconductor devices.

Major Equipment Available: CRO's, Function generators, Regulated power supplies, Bench setups etc.,

PULSE AND DIGITAL CIRCUITS LAB

About the Lab: This lab provides the knowledge of various electronic circuits and their design which can be helpful for the students to have better understanding regarding the electronic components and their use in the design and implementation.

Objective: To generate Different types of non-sinusoidal signals, To generate and processing of non-sinusoidal signals, To learn about Limiting and storage circuits and their applications, To learn about Different synchronization techniques, basics of different sampling gates and their uses, To obtain Basics of digital logic families.

Learning Outcome: Student understands the various design and analysis to generate various types of signals, Student can design various digital circuits based on the application and specifications.
