Strength of Materials Laboratory offers facilities for testing building materials for their strength, behavior and suitability for various applications. The various equipments available in the lab are
1. Universal testing Machine with shear test attachment
2. Rockwell Cum Brinell hardness tester
3. Hand Operated Digital Spring Testing
4. Impact Testing Machine
5. Digital Display Torsion Testing Machine
6. Beams Testing Setup

Fluid Mechanics Laboratory is well equipped with flow measuring devices in pipes and flow measurements in open channels. Facilities are available for calibration of flow measuring devices as well as pressure testing of pipes and pumps. The various equipments available in the lab are

Surveying is the art of determining the relative positions of different objects on the surface of the earth by measuring the horizontal distances between them and by preparing a map to any suitable scale. In this laboratory houses sophisticated instruments. Theodolite, Auto levels, plani meter, Dumpy levels and Ghat Tracer. The various other equipments available in the lab are

Classification tests on soils including sieve analysis, liquid limit, plastic limit and shrinkage limit, Standard and Modified Proctor Compaction Tests, CBR test, Collection of undisturbed samples and tests pertaining to engineering , properties like shear strength , consolidation and permeability on them .

The Transportation Engineering Laboratory is equipped with facilities for testing and design of materials and bituminous mixes. and the Laboratory is fully equipped with for conduct of regular experiments at UG level. The Major Equipments are

2. Crushing of Aggregate
3. Bituminous Penetration equipment
4. Marshal Stability Testing Machine

The laboratory has facilities for conducting practical classes for undergraduate programmes. The undergraduate students are being encouraged to take up topics in the field of Environmental Engineering for their project work by making use of facilities available in the laboratory. Analysis and testing of water and waste water samples are being regularly done for various public and private agencies. Water quality problems in many drinking water wells of households are being studied. The major Equipments are

The Department offers state-of-the-art computing facilities to the graduate students and faculty members. In addition every faculty member is given one personal computer and most of the laboratories have their own computing facilities to meet their specialized requirements. A high-speed Local Area Network connection through the Institute's central facilities, ensure that all students and faculty have the most modern computing facilities.
